Ho Chi Minh City Labor Confederation (HCMCLC) and the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) agreed to strengthen collaboration and promote their respective strengths to deliver the best benefits to trade union members and workers.

The signing ceremony of the Cooperation Regulation between HCMCLC and BIDV took place on 9 June 2023, in Ho Chi Minh City. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Tran Doan Trung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Standing Vice Chairman of HCMCLC; Mr. Pham Chi Tam - Vice Chairman of HCMCLC, representatives of Leaders of Level 3 Labor Confederation. The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Le Trung Thanh - BIDV’s Senior Executive Vice President; Mrs. Pham Thi Van Khanh - Head of BIDV Corporate Banking Department; leaders of BIDV Ky Hoa Branch, etc.

The signing ceremony between HCMCLC and BIDV is within the framework of the Cooperation Regulation between the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and BIDV signed on 15 December 2022. The program aims to further promote the strengths of each party in all areas, enhance coordination to bring the best benefits to union members and workers.

According to the Cooperation Regulation, BIDV will collect and return trade union fees to HCMCLC, ensure automatic allocation of funds to all union levels. The two parties also agreed to deploy a variety of activities of mutual benefit such as: Offering banking services of BIDV to trade union members at all levels; providing financial resources, convenient products and services to trade union members; Carrying out social welfare activities; Enhancing communication for awareness raising, etc.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Doan Trung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor shared: “The signing ceremony of the Cooperation Regulation between HCMCLC and BIDV continues to affirm the good cooperation relationship between the two parties and create a solid foundation for close coordination and effective cooperation in the time to come.”

Mr. Le Trung Thanh – Senior Executive Vice President of BIDV affirmed: “With a modern technology platform, comprehensive ecosystem of products and services and wide network, BIDV is confident and committed to providing the best products and services to HCMCLC, the trade unions at all levels and trade union members in the area. At the same time, BIDV also ensures to effectively meet the management needs of the trade union at all levels, contributes to improving the  life quality and welfare of union members and workers”.

The signing ceremony between BIDV and HCMCLC creates the basis for the two parties to further strengthen the cooperation relationship, thereby achieving greater success in the future. BIDV will always accompany the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in general, the trade unions at all levels, and the grassroots trade union in particular to benefit the union members and workers.
