Towards the 80th anniversary of National Independence Day, September 2nd, Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Viet Nam (BIDV) officially launches a special program “80 years – Gratitude to soldiers”, demonstrating the morality of “when drinking water, remember its source” and committing to support soldiers and public security officers in the cause of country development and protection.

A package of comprehensive solution

Understanding the need for housing and stable life for the families of officers and soldiers, BIDV has designed a home loan package of  8 trillion Vietnamese dong to support housing needs, with fixed preferential interest rate of 5.5% for the first 12 months, a loan up to VND 5 billion for each customer, and a complimentary family insurance plan with protection benefits up to VND 50 million. At the same time, the bank also applies an additional appreciative deposit interest rate on the Online channel of up to 0.6% p.a., depending on the deposit amount and term.

It is also accompanied by a flexible consumer credit program, specifically, officers and soldiers receiving salaries through BIDV accounts are supported with unsecured consumer loans with a limit of up to VND 150 million; in which the automatically issued credit card limit is up to VND 100 million; unsecured overdrafts up to VND 50 million with a fixed special interest rate of only 5.5% p.a. throughout the loan period.

This program is specifically designed for officers, soldiers and polices

On this occasion, BIDV also introduced the limited edition BIDV Visa Flexi card "Golden Star - Vietnamese Pride", as a token of gratitude and deep appreciation for the soldiers who are protecting the peace of the country, triggering the spirit of patriotism and national pride. With credit card, not only it is convenient in spending, paying, installment transactions, etc., officers and soldiers are also entitled to incentives up to VND 1 million upon having a new card issued, waiver of annual fee, double B-point to receive up to 4% cashback on online transactions, insurance and family expenses, effective from September 2, 2025 through February 2026.

At the same time, BIDV continues to waive many types of banking service fees to bring maximum convenience to officers and soldiers.

Spreading the humanity ​​and the mark of 68 years of national partnership

Not limited to financial incentives, BIDV also cooperates with ministries and departments to award 5,000 scholarships to children of soldiers with outstanding achievements, and undertakes to implementing 80 civil and social security projects in 2025 - 2027 period, with an estimated budget of VND 40 billion. These are practical actions, demonstrating social responsibility and carrying profound meaning of humanity, and at the same time, serving as the landmark towards 70th anniversary of BIDV establishment (1957 - 2027).
