On 11 April 2015 BIDV received the prestigious award for Good Performance on Social Security & Community Development given by the Vietnam Ministry of Planning and Investment. BIDV was among top 5 enterprises to receive the award.

The award aims to recognize corporations who have exemplified commitment to improving social security and community development in the country. This is the third year BIDV has been chosen for this award.

In 2014, BIDV continued to implement many CSR programs with the focus on education, healthcare, poor people assistance and disaster assistance… Specifically, BIDV sponsored the construction of 32 schools, classrooms and 150 houses for the poor; sponsored 19 education foundations with hundreds of scholarships; presented 3,000 life jacket bags to students at flood-prone areas, 16 ambulances to hospitals and 66,666 Tet gifts to the poor; funded to buy and upgrade medical equipment at 9 medical facilities and many other meaningful CSR programs.

BIDV were recognized by the society and appreciated by regulators for its CSR activities. Since 2008, BIDV has funded nearly VND1,300 billion for CSR programs. This award confirmed the prestige and position of BIDV as a brand for the community.
