August 15, 2025 – Hanoi witnessed the signing of landmark agreements between BIDV (Hanoi Branch) and SEMBCORP Development Vietnam, underscoring a new milestone in bilateral cooperation.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Trần Long – Deputy CEO of BIDV, together with the head of departments/centers at BIDV Head Office and Hanoi Branch; from SEMBCORP Industries, Ms. Emily Phạm – Chief Financial & Investment Officer of the Group’s Integrated Urban Solutions division worldwide, along with members of the management team and representatives from relevant divisions of SEMBCORP Industries and SEMBCORP Development Vietnam Co., Ltd.

At the ceremony, the two parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation, reaffirming their long-term commitment to joint development. Under the MoU, BIDV and SEMBCORP Development Vietnam will collaborate with SEMBCORP Industries’ Integrated Urban Solutions projects in Vietnam across diverse sectors, including logistics hubs, water treatment, waste management, and data centers.

The MoU and Credit agreement signed between Mr. Nguyễn Đình Dương – Director of BIDV Hanoi Branch, and Mr. Võ Hoàng Phan Hiển – General Director of SEMBCORP Development Vietnam Co., Ltd.

As the first step in this long-term partnership, BIDV and SEMBCORP also signed a credit agreement worth VND 770 billion to finance the Sembcorp Integrated Logistics Hub Bac Ninh I project. Upon completion, the project will become a comprehensive logistics hub featuring modern warehouses and ready-built factories that meet stringent standards in technology, infrastructure, and environmental sustainability. This marks SEMBCORP’s 16th project financed by BIDV and the first integrated logistics hub project in partnership of both parties.
