On 20 March 2024, in Hanoi, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) organized the Dialogue Forum “Journey of Aspiration” between BIDV’s Leadership and young people bankwide.

Organizing on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the 67th anniversary of BIDV, the event was attended in-person by more than 500 participants and online by more than 12,000 union members. This is an important political activity for young employees bankwide, and is also an opportunity for Youth Union officials to join a direct dialogue forum with BIDV’s leaders to discuss issues of young people’s interests.

The dialogue’s participants included Mr. Phan Duc Tu - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Tran Xuan Hoang - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors; Mr. Le Ngoc Lam - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, CEO; Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Giao - Member of the Standing Committee, Deputy CEO in charge of BIDV Youth Union; along with members of the Board of Directors, Board of Management, representatives of HO units and branches.

At the Forum, many issues were raised by union members and young people, including: (1) Proposed initiatives, solutions, and perspectives of the youth on system issues such as BIDV’s development strategy to 2025, vision to 2030, digital transformation strategy, HR management, corporate culture; (2) Shortcomings, problems and proposed solutions to solve system issues; (3) Proposed mechanisms, policies, and work environment for young employees and BIDV Youth Union staff. Questions in the Forum were answered by BIDV’s Leaders, partly responding to suggestions and aspirations of the young people.

Speaking at the Forum, Mr. Phan Duc Tu - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board  stated:

Securing a robust development for BIDV is the responsibility of not only BIDV’s leaders but also young people and youth union members at BIDV. We need to clearly define the mission, vision, and 3 pillars of development: Customer - Digital Technology - Corporate Culture and People. With 5 core values: Intelligence - Belief - Integrity - Detail Orientation - Vitality (iBIDV), along with action programs throughout the system, in 2023, we strictly follow the roadmap, achieving outstanding growth in terms of scale, structure, quality, etc. With such achievements, it is our responsibility, especially the young generation of BIDV, to be confident, proud and continue to build on such great achievements. By enjoying the results, we are motivated to deliver the results.

“Dare to think big, be a good listener, live sincerely, work hard” are also the four golden phrases that Mr. Phan Duc Tu - Chairman of the Board of Directors  offered to BIDV’s young generations who will foster BIDV’s prosperous and long-lasting development.
