BIDV and MISA partner to launch integrated banking solutions

On 16 January 2025, in Hanoi, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Viet Nam (BIDV) and MISA Joint Stock Company (MISA) signed a cooperation agreement to provide integrated banking services through MISA’s sales platform.

This event marked a significant milestone in the strategic partnership between two leading organizations in Vietnam’s finance and technology sectors. Under the agreement, BIDV and MISA will expand their collaboration in account-based payment collection services by integrating BIDV QR directly into MISA's multi-channel sales platform MISA eShop and restaurant management platform MISA CukCuk. BIDV QR solution offers users a seamless payment experience while helping businesses optimize revenue management processes.

Previously, BIDV and MISA had successfully partnered on several initiatives well-received by customers, including: a tuition fee collection service integrated with the MISA EMIS platform , BIDV iConnect integrated with MISA's AMIS accounting software, SME and Jetpay e-wallet services. Notably, in March 2024, the two parties launched MISA Lending—an online loan application service available via the MISA platform.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Tran Long - Deputy Chief Executive Officer of BIDV - stated:

BIDV Open API currently provides the most comprehensive and diverse suite of integrated APIs on the market. Through the integration of banking solutions onto MISA platforms, BIDV aims to develop products that combine modern banking services with smart management technologies. This cooperation will enhance service experiences, deliver flexible financial solutions to customers using the MISA ecosystem, and further reinforce BIDV’s position as a pioneer and leader in open banking in Vietnam.

Looking ahead, BIDV and MISA plan to deepen their cooperation by introducing additional integrated services, such as e-invoice, eSign intergation into BIDV’s online banking platform BIDV iBank, Application of MISA’s digital signature solution to streamline the execution of e-contracts between customers and BIDV, expected in 2025.

To celebrate this partnership, BIDV and MISA are launching a special promotional program for customers registering to use BIDV’s payment, money transfer, and collection services through MISA’s software platforms, incentives include: 6 months of  free subscription to MISA eShop, CukCuk, or AMIS, a free account number of choice valued up to VND6 million, free account management for the first year, among other benefits.. This promotion offers customers a valuable opportunity to experience modern, integrated banking solutions at preferential rates.

Since the launch of BIDV Open API just over a year ago, BIDV has achieved remarkable results, recording nearly 260,000 API calls in the sandbox environment, more than 1,000 trial developer accounts, and 165 registered integration partners. Among these, BIDV has established partnerships with 55 leading companies across various sectors. In recognition of these outstanding achievements, BIDV has received multiple prestigious awards, including: “Best Open Banking/API Initiative in Vietnam” by The Asian Banker, and “Vietnam’s Best Bank for Digital Solutions 2024” by Euromoney.
