The Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Viet Nam (BIDV) was honored as the only bank to be named among the Top 10 Vietnam Gold Stars in 2024 in an award ceremony held on 24 December 2024. The event was organized by the Central Committee of Vietnam Youth Federation and Central Committee of Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association.

Established in 2003, the “Vietnam Gold Star” is one of the country's most prestigious recognitions, celebrating enterprises that demonstrate excellent in business management, innovation, and contributions to the community. The award selection process is scientific, transparent, and objective. Each year the Council  selects 20 leading enterprises in various sectors, from which the Top 10 are chosen through a secret ballot. Key evaluation criteria include total assets, equity, revenue, budget contributions, profit after tax, return on equity, workforce size, and other performance indicators.

As Vietnam’s leading commercial bank, BIDV has consistently affirmed its position across all areas of operation:: holding the largest total assets in the banking sector, exceeding VND 2.6 quadrillion; serving  nearly 500,000 corporate clients and close to 22 million individual customers; and maintaining partnerships with over 2,300 financial institutions across 177 countries and territories.
