On 22 August 2024, Forbes Vietnam Magazine announced its list of 50 best listed companies in Vietnam during a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City. Among these top companies, BIDV was recognized as the leading bank by revenue, reaffirming its strong market position. Earlier, on 6 June 2024, BIDV also made its debut on Forbes USA's prestigious Global 2000 list, ranking among the Top 1,000 largest global enterprises for the first time.

To qualify for Forbes Vietnam's 2024 list of the 50 Best Listed Companies, firms listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HSX) and Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) undergo a rigorous, multi-step evaluation process. In the preliminary round, companies must meet specific benchmarks including profitability in 2023, and revenue and market capitalization of at least VND 500 billion. In the subsequent round, companies are assessed across five key quantitative criteria including the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of revenue, profit, return on equity (ROE), return on capital (ROC), and earnings per share (EPS) for the period from 2019 to 2023.

Forbes Vietnam also conducts a qualitative assessment, evaluating factors such as industry position, sources of profits, corporate governance quality, debt-to-equity ratio, and future industry prospects.
