On 8/7/2014, after receiving the information that the Mi-171 helicopter belonging to the Helicopter Regiment 916, Air Force Division 371, under the Air Defence – Air Force Services met with technical failure and crashed in Thach That district, Hanoi, the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) took prompt actions for offering timely visit and condolence to the High Command of Air Defence – Air Force and the families of the military officers and soldiers in distress.

On 8/7/2014, after receiving the information that the Mi-171 helicopter belonging to the Helicopter Regiment 916, Air Force Division 371, under the Air Defense – Air Force Services met with technical failure and crashed in Thach That district, Hanoi, the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) took prompt actions for offering timely visit and condolence to the High Command of Air Defense – Air Force and the families of the military officers and soldiers in distress.

​With the great admiration for the soldiers who tried to divert the plane out of the residential area, avoid the damages to the people, BIDV supported the families of the died military officers and soldiers with 10 million VND to each family and 20 million VND to each injured soldier for treatment.

BIDV desires that this sharing will contribute a practical part together with the High Command of Air Defense – Air Force, local authority to help the families of the military officers and soldiers overcome the material difficulties in the short term, soon to pass the pain of spiritual loss, health in order to stabilize their life.

As an unit with tradition in implementing the social security activities for the sake of the community, BIDV has supported the victims of heart-rending accidents such as: Collapse of pit in Vang Danh mine – Quang Ninh, collapse of Can Tho bridge, collapse of Len Co quarry - Nghe An, collapse of Chu Va bridge – Lai Chau… BIDV also has had a lot of Social security activities to the community with thousands of billion VND for: Building the great unity houses, building schools, medical stations and giving New Year’s gifts to the poor compatriots…
