On 26/03/2013, in Hanoi, the Tay Nguyen Steering Committee, the State Bank of Vietnam, the Ministry of Planning and Investment held a press conference to introduce the content, the program of the second Tay Nguyen investment promotion conference in 2013.

Attending the press conference: Permanent Tay Nguyen Committee; the Central Propaganda Board; leaders of the State Bank of Vietnam; representatives of leaders of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, officials from provincial permanent Committee, People’s Committee of 5 provinces and cities of Tay Nguyen area; representatives of investors, leaders of big four banks BIDV, Vietinbank, Agribank, Vietcombank. The Joint-stock Commercial Bank of Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) participated in the conference as the co-organizer.

The second Tay Nguyen investment promotion conference in 2013 was held in Pleiku City, Gia Lai on 12/4/2013, to enhance the attraction and effective use of investment capital flow, contribute to promote social and economic development of Tay Nguyen area. At the same time this is also a forum for investors and businesses together to exchange, discuss about policies, potentials and investment opportunities, remove obstacles in the process of implementation, and propose specific solutions to promote more funds for the regional development in the near future.

In 2009, BIDV co-organized and was the main sponsor for the first Tay Nguyen Investment Promotion Conference in DakLak. At this meeting, BIDV signed 09 agreements of the funding principles for 09 projects. On the basis of the signed content, BIDV’s branches cooperated closely with the investor to implement strictly the agreement. To date, BIDV has disbursed credit capital for 07 out of 09 projects with a total amount disbursed 523 billion out of the total BIDV commitment of 792 billion (equivalent to 66% of total commitments). Of which 02 projects have been disbursed 100% committed, 05 projects are continued to disburse as commitments on the basis of project progress. 01 out of 02 projects not implemented, the investors did not implement and another does not generate credit demand for loans at BIDV.

At the second Investment Promotion Conference in 2013, BIDV continued to have more signed agreements with the business projects with a total investment of up to 7325 billion VND. BIDV will continue to cooperate closely with investors to quickly implement the projects, commit to contribute to the success of the conference and the region's economic development.

Participation in the second Tay Nguyen Investment Promotion Conference in 2013 as the Deputy Head of the Steering Committee of the conference organization, in addition to work with the organizers to prepare the conditions for the practically effective conference organization, BIDV will actively contribute and mobilize its partner enterprises to participate in the social security activities, contribute to encourage socio-economic in Tay Nguyen region to grow quickly and sustainably.
