​The awards are presented by MasterCard within the framework of the annual Indochina Customer Development Forum, aiming to honor outstanding banks which have unique and innovative card products, offering benefits to users and contributing to the card development in the Indochina region.

Customers may pay their bills through BIDV’s mobile points of sale (POS) at home or at any convenient location without using cash, which makes BIDV the only bank to be named by MasterCard as the bank with breakthroughs in card payments.

In October 2014, BIDV cooperated with Vietravel, a Vietnam’s tour operator, to launch the co-branded BIDV Vietravel MasterCard product. This is the first co-branded card in the Indochina market in the field of tourism and is the combination between the two leading brands in Vietnam in the fields of banking and finance and tourism, helping bring more benefits to consumers.

As holders of BIDV Vietravel card, customers are entitled to all benefits such as global acceptance at millions of ATMs/POS, websites with MasterCard icon as well as Vietravel’s offers: point accumulation, gifts and discounts when buying tours.

BIDV Vietravel cardholders may also enjoy discounts at hundreds of merchants of BIDV and Vietravel. With this card product, BIDV is the only bank to be awarded the bank with the first utility card in the Indochina market in the field of tourism by MasterCard.
