BIDV has actively launched many credit packages to help customers overcome difficulties caused by Covid-19. On 28 August 2020, BIDV announced to reduce lending interest rate for individual customers in the package "Connecting to reach further" totalling VND30,000 billion.

Accordingly, customers participating in the VND30,000 billion loan package from now to 30 September 2020 will enjoy low interest rates of from only 5.5%/year for loans with terms less than 6 months or from 6%/year for terms from 6 months to 12 months. The program applies to new disbursements from 28 August 2020.

This is a positive move of BIDV in reducing lending interest rates for production and business, timely removing barriers for customers to access capital, supporting economic development, ensuring living conditions and joining the community to overcome the pandemic. With the reduction of lending rate by 0.5%/year, the most attractive loan package promises to help individual customers across the country easily access capital, deploy production and business plans.

Customers borrowing loans for business and production activities during this period will also be entitled to many attractive promotions in e-banking, insurance, deposit, etc. to manage their accounts effectively such as: Free e-banking service; Additional 0.4%/p.a interest rate on online deposits; Reduction of up to 70% interbank transfer fees; Receiving 100% value of phone top-up amount (maximum VND100,000/customer) when registering for BIDV Smart Banking and conducting a mobile top-up transaction via the app. Borrowers will be also entitled to special card offers (credit cards, debit cards).

Previously, from 5 August 2020, BIDV cut the medium and long term interest rates by 0.1%-0.2%/year (depending on the term) for home loans, car loans, production and business loan with term from 36 months.
