No.51/2016: BIDV cuts short-term lending rates for prioritized subjects and areas

Hanoi, 17 October 2016 - BIDV announced more short-term lending rate cuts for priority subjects and investment areas, following the policies of the Government and the State Bank of Vietnam (central bank) regarding supporting businesses, particularly:

 

​1. Maximum lending rates of 6.0% per year for 5 areas prioritized by the central bank, including: agriculture and rural development; goods production and trading for export; small and medium-sized enterprises; supporting industries; and high-tech enterprises.

The lending rate cut is 1% against the current lending rate.

2. Maximum short-term VND-denominated lending rates of 6.0% per year for startups, environment enterprises, and companies with credit history of at least 3 years and more and having financial capacity, and business plans.

3. Maximum short-term VND-denominated lending rates of 5.5% per year for businesses, individuals, households affected by the recent floods in the central provinces of Vietnam.

In addition, BIDV continues to implement preferential credit programs and packages for businesses as follows:

4. Credit packages with lending rates from 4.5% - 6.0% per year for groups of important exporters and importers, importers and exporters to and from Russia, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and countries joining the Eurasian Customs Union.

5. Short-term VND-denominated credit package valued VND40,000 billion (USD1.8 billion) for new customers being SMEs/FDIs/importers/exporters/micro-enterprises with lending rate from 5.5% per year.
