Hanoi, 25 October 2016 – The Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) has just become a recognised employer partner (REP) of Certified Practising Accountants Australia (CPA). Currently BIDV is among the first Vietnamese financial institutions to be awarded the certificate.

 

​Earning REP status, BIDV will be entitled to benefits of recruitment, training, human resource development, particularly: The bank will be able to connect directly with the REP network which includes prestigious domestic and international CPA members. BIDV can improve its competitive capacity and international integration through improving the quality of human resources. BIDV will have access to talents at CPA’s events, expanding its expert base to include those holding CPA certificate. The bank’s employees will have the opportunity to improve their qualifications and apply for CPA Australia certificate without needing to take the full course. In addition, BIDV employees will receive free entry to management and professional development events held by CPA Australia.

Addressing the certificate presentation ceremony, BIDV’s senior executive vice president Dr. Can Van Luc emphasised the significance of the event for BIDV, marking an important step in the bank’s international standard training and human resource development, contributing to improving prestige, brand, competitive capacity, especially in talent recruitment and development.

According to Adam Awty, deputy chief executive of CPA Australia, one of the most important reasons for the recognition of BIDV is that the bank provides excellent training and support for their staff.
