The Noongtha Complex includes office buildings, professional training area, guest houses and residential houses located in Noongtha village, Chathabouly District, Vientiane, Laos with total investment of USD15 million. The complex shows the long-term investments of BIDV and its commercial presence in Laos.

On 12 April 2015, in Vientiane, Laos, the Noongtha Complex Project was kicked off with project owner being Lao Viet Joint Venture Bank (LaoVietBank). Attending the ceremony were Vietnamese Politburo member Le Hong Anh, leaders of the Lao Government, central bank, ministries, Vientiane city, Vietnamese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Laos, leaders of BIDV and BCEL.

​The Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam JSC (BIDV) agreed to assign its member Lao Vietnam Joint Venture Bank, a legal entity established in Laos, to represent the owner of the complex project. So far, the legal procedures of the project have been approved by the competent authorities of Laos.

The Noongtha Complex is located in the Nongtha Paradise Land urban area. The complex is 3.5km north of Vientiane, and 6km from Wattay International Airport. The total land area of the complex is nearly 4 hectares with investment value in the first phase of about USD15 million.

With big investment projects in Laos, BIDV expressed its commitment to long-term and sustainable investment in this country. The Noongtha complex project shows the vision and desire of BIDV in creating a solid infrastructure for the operation of its commercial presences, contributing to the landscape improvement of Vientiane.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Thanh Van – BIDV Board member said, “With this project, BIDV once again reaffirms its commitment to the long-term investment in Laos. The complex when completed will be used to serve the external affairs of BIDV in Laos. It will also be the place for BIDV staff to live, and work at the bank’s commercial presences in Laos and a place for human resources training for LaoVietBank. We believe that the complex will be a cultural spotlight that leaves beautiful images in the hearts of Lao people”.

Mr. Doan Viet Nam – Chief Executive Officer of Lao Viet Joint Venture Bank said the Noongtha complex project is of great significance to BIDV’s presences in Laos in general and to LaoVietBank in particular. The complex will be the living and working place for BIDV staff in Laos, giving them peace of mind to take best efforts to fulfill their assigned tasks. A professional training area in the complex will offer a convenient and professional facility, helping improve the quality of human resources for LaoVietBank in the future and promises to be a typical work of the Vientiane city.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, representatives of the owner, consultant, supervisor and contractor were committed to comply with technical standards and ensure quality, safety and progress of the project.
