Inauguration of rural bridges in Dong Thap province

On 15 August 2019, in Tan Hong district, Dong Thap province, 5 out of 6 rural bridges sponsored by BIDV were inaugurated and put into use.

In 2019, BIDV committed to sponsor VND10 billion to coordinate with the Committee of Rural Bridge Program and local authorities on building 6 rural bridges in Tan Ho Co, Thong Binh and Binh Phu communes in Tan Hong district, Dong Thap province.

Total expenditure for constructing the 6 rural bridges is VND20.3 billion. The bridges are from 28 to 78 meters long; 4 to 4.5 meters wide; and are made of concrete. Payload of each bridge is 5 tons.

Former President Truong Tan Sang and delegates attended the inauguration ceremony of Sa Ray III Bridge in Binh Phu Commune.

So far, 5 out 6 bridges have been completed and put into use. The remaining Tan Thanh Lo Gach Bridge project is expected to be completed soon.

On the occasion of the bridges inauguration, BIDV also donated VND100 million to the Study Encouragement Fund of Tan Hong district.
