According to information from the General Department of Customs, Vietnam’s total import-export turnover in 2023 decreased by 6.9%, corresponding to a decrease of 50.25 billion USD compared to the previous year. Specifically, exports decreased by 4.6% (equivalent to a decrease of 17.05 billion USD), and imports decreased by 9.2% (equivalent to a decrease of 33.20 billion USD). Trade Booming is a preferential program launched by BIDV since 2022. The program serves as a significant support to facilitate international trade connections for import-export businesses. Entering its third year, alongside continuing the incentives that have garnered attention from businesses in the previous two years, BIDV is also introducing a series of new incentives for businesses. Particularly, this year, the program includes preferential policies specifically tailored for both new and existing BIDV customers.

Benefits/ Incentives For New Customers:

• Free of charge for nearly 10 services within 01 year: Applicable to various fees including account opening/account management fees, insurance fees, first- year annual fees for corporate debit cards, corporate credit cards; inward letter of credit  (LC) fees, export LC notification/ amendment fees, export documentary collection handling fees.
• Up to 30% discount in international payment fees on BIDV iBank: Applicable to fees such as: Outward Letter of Credit (LC), Commercial Transaction Transfer Fees (excluding fees paid to third parties, UPAS fees, pre—maturity payment fees for domestic/export LCs).
• Up to 10% discount on cargo transportation insurance fees for import-export goods at BIC compared to the current fee level.
• Exchange rate benefits up to 170 points depending on the type of foreign currency: Applicable to currencies including USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, KRW.

Incentives for Existing Customers:

• Free of charge for nearly 10 services within 06 months: Applicable to various fees including issuance fees, first-year annual fees for corporate debit card, corporate credit cards; Inward Letter of Credit (LC) fees, Export LC notification/amendment fees, Export documentary collection handling fees.
• Up to 30% reduction in international payment fees on BIDV iBank: Applicable to fees such as Outward Letter of Credit (LC) fees, Commercial Transaction Transfer Fees (excluding fees paid to third parties, UPAS fees, pre-maturity payment fees for domestic/export LCs).
• Exchange rate benefits up to 170 points depending on the type of foreign currency: Applicable to currencies including USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, KRW.
