From July 2021, Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) and JSC Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) officially launched the QR code payment service for electricity payment on BIDV Smartbanking.

No need to manually put in customer code, use BIDV SmartBanking and scan the QR code printed on your electronic bill to instantly pay your bill at zero cost. A notification within the app will pop up and notify the success of your payment. In addition, take advantage of the feature “Transaction History” and “Personal Finance Management” to manage and track your monthly electronic bill payments.

BIDV is one of the first banks to collaborate with EVN to deploy QR code payment service for electricity payment. This collaboration shows the bank’s commitment in diversifying payment methods for customers using digital platforms and meeting the needs of EVN for bill collection. To EVN, this service represents their constant effort to improve electricity services on the basis of modern technology, thus promoting digital economy.

BIDV would like to provide a convenient payment method to customers, especially during the outbreak of Covid-19 when the needs for cashless payment and online payment have been in a rise.
