For the 17th consecutive year, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) continues its meaningful tradition of supporting underprivileged communities with its Tet gifts program. In 2025, BIDV has contributed VND 20 billion, equivalent to 40,000 Tet gift packages, to disadvantaged individuals and families across the country.

The Tet Gift Program for the Year of Snake 2025 prioritizes those hardest hit by natural disasters over the past year - including floods, extreme cold, droughts, flash floods, and landslides, etc. BIDV extends its support to poor households in these areas, ensuring they can enjoy a warm and fulfilling Lunar New Year. In addition, BIDV continues its long-standing tradition of giving Tet gifts of VND 500,000 Tet gifts to families of war invalids and martyrs, individuals with meritorious service to the revolution, low-income workers and civil servants, hospitalized patients facing financial hardship, lonely elderly people, and homeless and disadvantaged children, etc. Each Tet gift set, based on current market prices, typically may include essentials such as1kg of pork, two sticky rice cakes (bánh chưng), a roll of pork sausage, a box of candied fruit, a pack of cookies, a bottle of cooking oil, and a bottle of soy sauce, and other holiday necessities - providing both nourishment and festive warmth.

Notably, part of this year’s program funding - nearly VND 16 billion - was raised through the “BIDVRun - Warm Tet for the Poor in the Year of the Snake” campaign. Launched in 2019, BIDVRun has evolved into a dynamic community sports initiative, allowing participants to turn each kilometer they run into meaningful contributions. The campaign brings together individuals committed to social welfare and aligns with BIDV’s broader efforts to uphold its corporate social responsibility and foster positive change throughout the community.
