Pursuant to the regulations of the State Bank of Vietnam in Circular No. 17/2024/TT-NHNN on opening and using payment accounts at payment service providers, from January 1, 2025, corporate clients must register valid identification documents of related persons (including: legal representatives, chief accountants and authorized persons) with the bank. Transactions via the organization's bank account will be suspended for related individuals in case the identification documents are no longer valid or have expired.

Identification documents used in accordance with the provisions of the Law include:

(i) 12-digit Identity card, chip-attached with valid validity, or

(ii) Identity card issued from July 1, 2024 (according to the new standards of the Ministry of Public Security), or

(iii) For foreigners: Passport, for foreigners residing in Vietnam, an additional entry visa or a document with equivalent validity to a visa, or visa exemption is required

To avoid transaction interruptions and enhance safety and security when using banking services, please UPDATE THE LATEST IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS of the relevant persons before they expire at the nearest BIDV Branches/Transaction Offices.
