The program “Digital Preparedness for Women-Owned Enterprises and launch of Cybersecurity Handbook for Women Leaders” helps improve the safe and effective use of information and digital data in cyberspace for women-owned enterprises, associations, unions, clubs of female entrepreneurs, and promote digital transformation in women-owned/led enterprises.

 

The program was jointly organized on 15 June 2023 in Hanoi by the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) in collaboration with the Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Council (under Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry - VCCI), and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women). Attending the Program were representatives of units including Enterprise Development Agency (under the Ministry of Planning and Investment), embassies in Vietnam, GIZ, The Asia Foundation in Vietnam, VCCI, units that support women-owned SMEs, and women-owned enterprises located in Hanoi and neighboring provinces. 

In the Program, the speakers shared about opportunities and challenges for women-owned enterprises in the digital era; information safety and cybersecurity for enterprises in general and women-owned enterprises in particular; solutions to support women-owned enterprises to improve digital capabilities, ensure information safety and cybersecurity in the current context...

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim Phuong, Deputy Head of BIDV’s Corporate Banking Department, said: “For many years, BIDV has constantly provided comprehensive solutions for SMEs, bringing the best benefits and values to customers; and at the same time make a difference in the market. BIDV has always been proactive in working with foreign donors to effectively and comprehensively support women-owned SMEs in both financial and non-financial aspects”.

Recently, BIDV has made relentless efforts to launch the first SMEasy Digital Platform (https://smeasy.bidv.com.vn) in Vietnam for SMEs on both Website and Mobile App. SMEasy is designed based on “One-Stop Shop” model with outstanding features, user friendly interface, personalized for each user, helping SMEs to effectively access and use banking products and services. The Program also supports SMEs to access digital transformation solutions; promote business connection and expansion; provide business administration tools and manuals, communicate products and services of enterprises; especially offer online training courses via SME Academy.

In addition, BIDV also implements many digital transformation solutions, organizes seminars to improve financial access as well as capacity building programs for SMEs, etc.

Supporting activities for SMEs, especially women-owned SMEs, is a priority of the Government, and requires the cooperation of ministries, organizations and commercial banks. With the motto “pioneering and developing together”, BIDV is a reliable and sustainable companion for customers.
