Student Appreciation Conference by Vietnam Banking Trade Union

On 2 August 2019, Vietnam Banking Trade Union held a conference to praise 199 students with outstanding academic achievements in the period of 2017-2019, whose parents are banking employees. 50 students out of them are children of employees from BIDV Trade Union.

The conference was honored with the presence of Mr. Tran Van Thuat, Vice president of the Vietnam Confederation of Labour; Mr. Dao Minh Tu, SBV Deputy Governor cum Chairman of Vietnam Banking Trade Union; the presentatives of Party Committee, Central Bank Youth Union, Banking Academy, and leaders of all-level trade unions.

Attending the conference were 199 outstanding students whose parents are working in Vietnamese banking system. Among them, 71 won international prizes, 102 won national prizes, 6 valedictorians, Sao Thang Gieng winners and 20 disable students with good academic results.

At the Conference, Mr. Dao Minh Tu, Deputy Governor, acknowledged and appreciated the practical activities of all-level trade unions in taking care of the material and spiritual life of workers and employees. The Deputy Governor congratulated on the efforts and achievements of the students in the past 3 years, and gave credit to the parents and schools in taking care of children and providing adequate education.

Ms. Nguyen Thanh Binh, an employee of BIDV Hung Vuong, proud to have her daughter – Khong Tu Uyen – passed the entrance test to Foreign Trade University Ha Noi in 2018 with the highest score. At the Conference, Khong Tu Uyen represented the honored students to give a speech. She expressed her gratitude and appreciation for the education from the teachers and schools, as well as the love and support of the parents. She also showed her appreciation to BIDV Trade Union for their encouragement and promised to keep on striving.

This is the 3rd time Vietnam Banking Trade Union held the Student Appreciation Conference (1st time in 2013, then 2016 and 2019) with the number of students winning national and international prizes constantly increased.
