From 1 to 22 November 2020, BIDV will hold an online run race "Warm Tet for the poor – Sending love to people in central region". This is the second year BIDV has organized this program.

The race is a free event organized by BIDV for everyone, aimed to encourage the spirit for sport as well as the spirit of sharing with the poor, in response to the "For the poor" month launched by Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

BIDV organizes the race with the purpose of mobilizing officers, customers, and the community to join hands to contribute to giving Tet gifts to the poor on the occasion of Vietnam’s New Year (Tet) by participating in the race. All athletes' performance will be recognized and contributed by BIDV from 1,000 VND/km - 3000 VND/km as Tet gifts for the poor and support to the people in the Central region affected by the floods.

The race will be held online via the BIDVRUN app or the website http://bidvrun.com on the Strava platform. BIDVRUN is an application developed by BIDV with the aim of connecting people with the passion for running, spreading the spirit of sharing in the community, encouraging sport spirit, improving public health in general and BIDV staff’s health in particular.

BIDV employees, customers and the community can all register to participate individually or in groups/teams, and are free to perform outdoor walking/running activities anytime and anywhere.

By joining the race, athletes can not only build a healthy lifestyle for themselves, but also give love and contribute Tet gifts to thousands of families with difficulties in Vietnam, bringing them a warm Tet. The organizers expect contribution of VND13 billion through this race

In 2021, with the aim of attracting many athletes to participate in the event, BIDV offers many attractive prizes for teams/individuals with best running results according to the program's rules. In addition, in order to attract customers to become the athletes of the race, BIDV also has a promotion for athletes who are new customers or make transactions or using BIDV products and services with the total prizes up to VND2.5 billion. Many valuable gifts such as bicycles, watches or shoes, sport hats. The race offers 32,000 prizes with a total value of VND5 billion.

BIDV expects that the program will continue to promote the tradition of implementing social security "For the poor" across BIDV system and spread the good things and human values in life.

The Warm Tet for the poor has been implemented annually by BIDV since 2009. BIDV has donated more than 600,000 gifts with a total value of more than VND160 billion to poor people across the country. In 2019, the running race attracted 36,488 athletes running a total of 1.8 million km. With that result, BIDV donated more than VND5.8 billion as Tet gifts for poor people during the Tet 2020.
