BIDV responds to "Cashless Day" with many incentives

At a press conference held on 20 May 2019 in Hanoi, “Cashless Day – 16 June” is announced to be the first non-cash day in Vietnam. The program is implemented by the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), Tuoi Tre Newspaper, Vietnam E-Commerce Association (VECOM) and National Payment Corporation of Vietnam (Napas).

To promote noncash payment via modern payment facilities such as card, E-wallet, mobile banking…, banks, mobile payment agents, retailers and service providers have launched attractive promotion programs towards “Cashless Day”.

In June 2019, in response to “Cashless Day – 16 June”, BIDV also brings many incentives to customers who open new accounts, open new debit or credit cards, fund transfer and make transactions via online services or cards issued by BIDV.

BIDV is eager to maintain its position as leading bank in IT application by providing advanced non-cash payment applications such as BIDV Homebanking, Online bill payment, E-tax payment service…

In 2018, BIDV promoted its digital banking project. S&P evaluated BIDV as one of the banks actively cooperating with FinTech to promote digital banking application, especially in the retail banking sector.

On 15 March 2019, BIDV’s Digital Banking Center has officially established to gain the first mover advantage in exploiting the digitalization potential of banking activities in scale.
