With purpose to express its leading role in investment activities, support Vietnamese enterprises to understand well the business environment and opportunities in Myanmar, and create cooperation between Vietnamese enterprises and Myanmar enterprises, Bank of Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) has joined in Vietnam-Myanmar Trade Fair 2011 which took place at Myanmar Meetings Center (MMC), Yangun city from November 17th- 20th, 2011.

 

 

The Fair was organized by Department of Investment promotion – Vietnam Ministry of Trade and Industry, Vietnam Embassy in Myanmar in coordination with Ministry of Commercial and Union of Myanmar Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI). This event was under the framework of trade promotion program in year 2011 of Vietnam which attracted the participation of more than 60 enterprises of two nations with 80 rooms of product display. The program plays its important meaning in strengthening the cooperation in terms of economy, trade and investment between Vietnam and Myanmar; confirming production capacity and potential of Vietnam, and promoting export of Vietnamese products to potential Thailand market.

At the fair, the store of BIDV showed main theme: BIDV – International Economic Integration and introducing Association of Vietnam Investors (AVIM) to Myanmar of which BIDV is the president. A lots of customers visited the store and exchanged information. BIDV has actively implemented practical activities there such as: providing information and banking service products, especially services serving for enterprises; creating chances for Vietnamese enterprises participate in this fair to meet and work with related organizations and Myanmar enterprises to discuss about possible cooperation and product distribution channel of Vietnam’s product to Myanmar. Morever, with the aim to strengthen the unity and spreading image of AVIM, BIDV encouraged enterprises to take part in Trade fair and join into Association.

The success of BIDV at the trade fair together with its operating results after one year in Myanmar have confirmed the brand prestige of a leading institution of Vietnam, creating an important fundermental for investment activities in the next times.
