Moody’s rating results for BIDV in 2012

BIDV was reviewed and announced the periodical ratings 2012 by Moody’s Investors Service (Moody’s) in the middle Results of credit ratings of BIDV in 2012 still remain as same as the end of year 2011, many rating results reached national rating ceiling and general stable prospect. Namely:

• Domestic/foreign currency deposit ratings: B1/B2 • Issuer rating:  B1• Independent financial rating: E+.• Prospect: Stability.

This is an active and remarkable rating result in the background in which global financial crisis and economic depression has had no improvement sign, the economy and banking system of Vietnam has had challenges.

Moody’s appreciated BIDV with  the strength as a bank with total assets raked at the third position with wide network system and owning one of the best payment systems in Vietnam. Besides, business administration and risk management BIDV has been improved step by step. The year 2012 is consecutive 7the year when BIDV has invited Moody’s to rate, thereby contributed to affirmation of manifest commitments and implementing the strategy of applying the best international standards in operations of the bank. BIDV is the most long-standing commercial bank in Vietnam with 55 years of development and growth. As at 30 June 2012, total assets of BIDV reachedVND 444 thousand billion with 118 branches and 500 transaction offices nationwide.
