On 22 April 2016, the Ministry of Industry and Trade held a awarding ceremony to honor 10 enterprises with excellent trade services and 100 outstanding trade services companies. The Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) was the only bank and ranked first in the list of top 10 enterprises receiving the Vietnam Top Trade Services Awards 2016.

​The “Vietnam Top Trade Services Awards” aregiven to domestic businesses and FDI enterprises operating in 11 categories of trade services to which Vietnam commits to open upon accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO).

The awards aim to honor and encourage domestic and FDI enterprises and entrepreneurs who are excellently operating in the fields of trade services and industrial production.

The winners of the awardssatisfied the criteria set by the Organizing Committee: Highly efficientoperation, active participation in social activities, compliance with laws, having clear business development strategy, well recognized and appreciated quality of goods and services.

In 2016, BIDV’s position and brand were locally and internationally recognized: BIDV was rated by Brand Finance firm as the most valuable bank brand in Vietnam, ranked 26th among ASEAN banks, and 401st bank globally, up 12 places compared to 2016; Forbes Magazine listed BIDV in the Top Global 2000 the world's largest and most powerful listed companies; The Asian Banker Magazine has awarded BIDV with “Best Retail Bank in Vietnam” for three consecutive years and “Best Mortgage Product in Vietnam” for two consecutive years. BIDV was the only bank in Vietnam to be honored the“Outstanding Retail Bank 2016” at Vietnam Retail Banking Forum 2016. BIDV also won many prizes on various aspects such as cards, currency trading, information technology.
