On the morning of 18/2/2013, the first working day of 2013, Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) had the honor to welcome Mr. Le Hong Anh – Member of the Politburo, Standing member of the Central Committee Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam – visited and presented his New Year's greetings.

Speaking with the leaders and employees of BIDV, Mr. Le Hong Anh warmly praised the contributions over the past time of the Banking sector in general and BIDV in particular to the socioeconomic development as well as financial – banking market of Vietnam.

In particular, in 2012, although the economy had a lot of difficulties, business efficiency of BIDV was still at stable level, banking services were diversified, payment into the State budget was high, system safety criteria were assured. Especially, BIDV has played the pioneering role in carrying out monetary policy; companying, sharing, removing difficulties for the enterprises; continuing to take the lead in implementing economic policies and monetary policies of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the State of Vietnam, the Government of Vietnam and the State Bank of Vietnam; in 2012, BIDV continued to comply well with social security, share with the community, with the poor, take care of the health and education cause of the country. The Party construction work continued to receive the guidance consideration, leadership ability and working strength of the Party organizations and Party members were continually enhanced.

Mr. Le Hong Anh kindly requested that, in 2013 BIDV needs to bring into full play the tradition of solidarity and unanimity, overcome difficulties, carry out and complete 10 key tasks and main solutions; follow hard on the guidance from the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Government of Vietnam and the State Bank of Vietnam to complete all assigned tasks; further bring into full play the key role of the State-owned enterprise in the monetary market, serve as the efficient tool in implementing monetary policies; continue removing difficulties for the enterprises, support the enterprises in restoring production and business, especially in agriculture, export, small and medium-sized enterprises; continue to carry out social security and social welfare activities; needs to take initiative in establishing comprehensive operation restructuring plan and schedule under the policies of the Communist Party of Vietnam, direction and guidance from the Government and the State Bank of Vietnam, contributes to comply successfully with the Resolution adopted by the 11th Congress on restructuring economy in general and restructuring the banking system in particular; pays attention to building the Communist Party of Vietnam and other organizations in a clean and firm manner.

The visit by Mr. Le Hong Anh, Member of the Politburo, Standing member of the Central Committee Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam is the valuable encouragement and support so that the staff of BIDV have more motive force for working and devotion right from the first days of this New Year.
