The State Bank designates the banks to serve the ADB-funded project

On 27/06/2011, the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) signed and issued the Decision No. 1378/QD-NHNN on designating the banks for the Project “Reduction of water losses, enhancement, expansion of water supply network and institutional strengthening for Saigon Water Corporation in period 2011 – 2015” funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Accordingly, the Governor of the State Bank assigned the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) to be the bank for the project “Reduction of water losses, enhancement, expansion of water supply network and institutional strengthening for Saigon Water Corporation in period 2011 – 2015” with a value of USD 138 million financed by ADB under the Loan Agreement No. 2754-VIE(SF) signed between the representatives of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and ADB representatives.In addition, the Governor of the State Bank also tasked the General Director of BIDV to take responsibility for implementing the regulations specified in the Decree No. 131/2006/ND-CP, the documents guiding the implementation of the State Bank, Ministry of Finance and the regulations, guidance by ADB to serve well for this Project.
