In recent years, investment activities of Vietnam in Cambodia has strongly grown meeting requirements and expectations of the leaders of the two Government with the close guidance of the two governments, the efforts of enterprises of Vietnam, close cooperation of the Association of investors to Cambodia and Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam - BIDV -the pioneer to pave the way to establish a commercial presence in Cambodia, also known as the Chairman of the Association of Investors of Vietnam to Cambodia (AVIC).

The economic groups, large corporations in various fields of Vietnam has carried out investment activities in Cambodia such as the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam - BIDV, Vietnam national Coal - Mineral Industries Group, Petro Vietnam, Vietel, Vietnam airline,Vietnam Rubber group, Hoang Anh Gia Lai Group,etc. The Vietnam enterprises have implemented a coordinated project investment in potential fields in Cambodiaincluding finance - banking, aviation, agriculture, health and community health care, light industrial manufacturing, rubber trees and cash crops, minerals exploitation, energy and telecommunications.

Beside their investment in field of Finance-banking, insurance and aviation  which are in operation, almost projects of BIDV and Vietnam Airlinesare in the stage of basic construction or feasible research (Hydropower). However, activities of Vitenam Enterpriseds show the determination for investing and foster the confidence of Cambodia Government in Vietnam Enterprises.

In parallel with the implementation of investment activities and trade in Cambodia, last year enterprises of Vietnam has actively implemented the social welfare activities in Cambodia with a total commitment up to over $ 6 million (of which BIDV has contributed 28.3 billion ~ $ 1.5 million)..
