The Bank for Investment and Development of Cambodia Hanoi branch (BIDC Hanoi) was established under the operation permit number 88/GP – NHNN issued by the State bank of Vietnam on 22nd April, 2011 with Initial capital is $ 15,000,000. On 29th April, 2011, at its headquarter at 10A Hai Ba Trung, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi, Ha Noi , BIDC Hanoi held a ceremony to receive the license and deploy the work of preparing the necessary conditions for operation in the future. BIDC Hanoi is the second branch in Vietnam after Ho Chi Minh BIDC and the fourth branch of the Bank for Investment and Development of Cambodia.

BIDC Hanoi launching will create a system to serve Vietnam investors into Cambodia through the promotion of good role as the bridge payment, provide credit, banking services, investment advisory, consulting and market information, etc.  Moreover, the operation of BIDC Hanoi is not only an event to expand a branch of the BIDC, but also a milestone marking the success of Vietnam enterprises pioneered a way to market Cambodia is developing with great potentialities. Being 100% invested by Investment and Development Company of Cambodia (IDCC), a company which was established by BIDV, BIDC was officially established and operated on in the Phnom Penh capital on 26th July,2009 . This is the result of the BIDV’s implementation under the guidance by the government leaders of Vietnam and Cambodia in an effort to promote activities of investment of Vietnam into Cambodia.

BIDC long-term goal is to become the top bank in Cambodia in terms of scale and operational efficiency, to own modern banking technology, well-trained and professional manpower, ensuring figures and mechanisms for  control  of safety, transparency as forced international rules on banking operations.
