On 05/11/2011, at Gia Lam Airport, Hanoi, Vietnam Aircraft Leasing Company (VALC) and Vietnam North Helicopter Company handed and leased helicopter EC-155B1.

New-generation helicopter EC-155B1 is one of the most modern helicopters in Vietnam at present. EC-155B1 is manufactured at EUROCOPTER Factory using the latest technology with automatic, safe, noise-proof systems, broad and luxurious passenger compartment. In particular, EC-155B1 is equipped with turbomeca Ariel 2C2 engine that is optimized for severe weather conditions and equipped fully with digital engine controller (FADEC) to increase safety for flights. This is the fast, convenient and suitable means of transport for various purposes.

Mr. Tran Long - General Director of VALC said: “Apart from operating for flat-wing civil aircraft leasing airlines such as A321-200, ATR72-500, this is the first time VALC expanded its business to the field of helicopter lease”.

Professionals argued that the cooperation between VALC and VNH North (the operator had over 20 years of experience in the field of transporting helicopter) is the important milestone in Vietnamese civil aviation field, creating momentum for the development of helicopter transporting market, meeting the increased demand of the customers.

Over the past years, VALC has kept increasing its capacity in trading and leasing aircrafts in order to contribute to developing Vietnam aviation, increasing number of aircrafts owned by Vietnam, reducing the dependence on the international aircraft supply market, increasing competitiveness and promoting the integration of Vietnam aviation into the world. Up to now, VALC has carried out aircraft leasing projects, including 8 aircrafts Boeing B787, 10 aircrafts Airbus A321-200, 5 aircrafts ATR-72-500 and 1 helicopter EC-155B1.
