Vice President of the Federal Republic of Myanmar visited AVIM Association

On 20/03/2013, during his official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Vice President of the Federal Republic of Myanmar Nyan Tun and senior leaders of the State, the Government of Myanmar visited the headquarter of the Association of Vietnamese investors to Myanmar (AVIM) and BIDV.

By the end of 2012, there were 11 licensed Vietnamese enterprises operating in Myanmar, which has 04 ongoing projects with a total value of more than $ 460 million, including: Project to build a trading cultural center of Hoang Anh Gia Lai group; marble mining project of Simco Song Da joint Stock company; joint venture project of oil and gas exploration off the coast of Block M2  of PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP) and Eden group; Joint Venture project to establish pharmaceutical manufacturing company of ASV Holdings Group and company MEIG / Zaykabar of Myanmar ...

In addition, a number of projects are in the researching process with a total investment of nearly 300 million dollars as: rice seed production project of Vietranimex, the project to build complex production and processing of agricultural products area in Yangon of Vinacapital; Viglacera‘s project to build tuynel brick factory; Joint venture project between East Asian Ship and Myanmar partner, wharf and shipyard construction ...

Also in the audience Vice President Nyan Tun, the enterprises of the Association AVIM such as Hoang Anh Gia Lai Group, Simco Song Da Company, Citigroup, ... said, proposed the  recommendations to the State of Myanmar to boost the effectiveness of investment cooperation between the two countries.
