On 9 January 2021, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Viet Nam National Innovation Center (NIC) and the opening ceremony of the Viet Nam International Innovation Expo 2021-VIIE 2021 has been kicked off at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park (Hanoi). BIDV participated in the event as one of the enterprises whose modern technology innovations.

The Viet Nam International Innovation Expo 2021-VIIE 2021 is held by the Ministry of Planning and Investment, honoring and introducing innovative breakthrough products, technologies and ideas in: Smart cities, smart factories, cybersecurity, digital transformation, technology in agriculture and the environment, etc. The event saw the attendance of the Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, Minister-Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, and representatives of ministers, organizations  and enterprises.
