BIDV sports team won a total of 33 medals, ranking first among participating teams at the first Banking Sports Festival 2023.

Participating in the Festival, 136 athletes of BIDV Sports Team competed in all 6 categories of sports, including table tennis, badminton, tennis, chess, marathon, and men’s/women’s football. BIDV Sports team consist of outstanding athletes from sports activities at BIDV and have been carefully selected through BIDV Sports Day in 2022.

The first Banking Sports Festival was organized to celebrate the 7th Congress of Vietnam Banking Trade Union, towards the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union and the 30th anniversary of the Vietnam Banking Trade Union. The Festival aimed to introduce and promote the image, brand, and cultural beauty of banking units and credit institutions to the whole society, with the message: “For the development of the banking sector and the prosperity of Vietnam”.

On 7 August 2023, BIDV held a Departure Ceremony for the BIDV Sports Team to attend the Festival. Speaking at the Ceremony, representatives of BIDV’s Party Committee, Management and Trade Union acknowledged the efforts of the Organizing Committee and the athletes. At the same time, the athletes were expected to maximize their potential, strengths and noble sportsmanship to do their best for BIDV’s spirit and brand, and for the overall success of the Festival...

With the motto “Unify - Strive - Succeed”, BIDV Sports Team showed their high determination to gain positive achievements at the Festival and cement BIDV’s position in sports activities of the banking sector.

After 12 days of competition, the first Banking Sports Festival in 2023 concluded with many good results. Contributing to the overall success of the festival, BIDV sports team left a special impression and affirmed its position in sports activities of the banking sector.

With high determination and efforts of the 136 athletes competing in 6 categories of sports, BIDV sports team excellently won a total of 33 medals, including 10 golds, 14 silvers and 09 bronze medals, ranking first among participating teams.

At the closing ceremony on 12 August 2023, BIDV Sports team was awarded by the State Bank of Vietnam's Leadership and Vietnam Bank's Union with the first-ranking team cup. The team also received congratulations from BIDV's leadership as well as thousands of enthusiastic supporters.

Winning the high achievements at the Festival is the motivation for BIDV's employees to better fulfill their political and professional tasks, contributing to the whole banking sector in realizing the common goal of "For the development of the banking sector and the prosperity of Vietnam”.
