On 25 August 2019 in Binh Duong province, BIDV organized a “BIDV Smile” run for the Southern region as part of the series of activities to convey the service message of 2019: “BIDV Smile - Thoughtfulness, Professionalism and Quality".

The race was participated by 1458 athletes from the bank’s 54 local trade unions in Ho Chi Minh city and the Southeastern region, competing on the 4.400 meters – a target of service income set by BIDV for 2019.

The Smile Run aims to raise awareness of the significance of the service development plan for BIDV employees, motivating them to improve service quality, professionalism, friendliness and responsibility, striving to fulfil the 2019 net service income target, laying solid foundations for the plan implementation in next years.

Speaking at the race opening ceremony, Mr. Tran Xuan Hoang, senior executive vice president at BIDV, chairman of BIDV Trade Union, and head of the race steering committee, believed the event will trigger a series of activities of the service development plan. He said that the message “Thoughtfulness, Professionalism and Quality” would be one that customer relationship officers as well as branches and departments bear in their mind to serve customers.

Sideline activities of the race also attracted the attention of the bank’s employees such as creating slogans, communication documents, photo contest “Most favourite team” on BIDV Fanpage, and Flash mob dance.

Many collectives and individuals were honoured after hours of exciting competition. However the victory is not for some but all the bank’s employees who are inspired to render more efforts, contributing to the bank’s service development to better serve customers.
