BIDV CEO sent a letter to Hana Financial Group introducing opportunities for strategic partnership with BIDV.

Senior executives of BIDV, Hana Financial Group/KEB Hana Bank met for the first time in South Korea.

The two parties signed a Term Sheet

The SBV issued Document 1029/NHNN-TTGSNH approving of the increase of BIDV’s charter capital from VND34,187 to VND40,220 billion through a private placement to KEB Hana Bank.

The two parties agreed on the contractual contents and officially signed the contract.

KEB Hana Bank completed procedures on getting approval from South Korean authorities.

BIDV completed the submission of documents on private placement issue to the State Securities Commission of Vietnam.

SBV issued a document approving of KEB Hana Bank’s purchase of BIDV’s stake.

The State Securities Commission of Vietnam issued a document confirming the share issue result.

BIDV successfully held an official ceremony in Hanoi, announcing KEB Hana Bank as its foreign strategic shareholder.

On December 31, 2019, BIDV’s Chairman of the Board of Directors signed Decision No. 1314/QĐ-BIDV to appoint members of the BIDV-KEB Hana Bank Strategic Cooperation Committee, consisting of 11 members, with the Chairman of the Committee being BIDV’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, Phan Duc Tu.

From November 23, 2020, BIDV and its strategic partner Hana Bank officially launched the 24/7 remittance transfer service from South Korea to Vietnam. With this service, customers can transfer money from South Korea to Vietnam through the Hana EZ application to BIDV accounts.

On July 14, 2021, at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Hana Bank, BIDV’s strategic partner, donated 6 billion VND to the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund.

BIDV celebrated the second anniversary of the strategic cooperation agreement between BIDV and Hana Bank and the traditional Hana Day.

At the social welfare program announcement ceremony in celebration of BIDV’s 65th anniversary, Hana Bank announced a donation of 40 billion VND to build community cultural houses for flood prevention and to sponsor ambulances in Vietnam.

In Hanoi, BIDV Securities Company (BSC) and Hana Securities (HSC) - part of Hana Financial Group from South Korea (HFG) - organized a ceremony to sign a strategic cooperation agreement between the two parties.

BIDV officially launched the QR code cash withdrawal service on ATMs through the Hana Bank Mobile App. This service allows customers to use e-wallets within the Hana Bank/GLN mobile application ecosystem to scan QR codes and perform cash withdrawal transactions on BIDV ATMs.

The 2024 Hana Play Cup International Friendly Football Tournament presented by BIDV will take place in Hanoi, featuring four strong football teams: Daejeon Hana Citizen FC (South Korea), Hanoi FC, The Cong - Viettel FC, and Bali United FC (Indonesia).
