On March 12, 2024, in Hanoi, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) organized a program to provide funding to implement the Project to Improve the Capacity of Human Resources for Pediatric Medical Care in the Northern Mountainous Provinces for the period 2023 - 2025. The participants in the program included representatives from the recipient unit - the National Children's Hospital and representatives of the Department of Health of 7 beneficiary localities.

Accordingly, BIDV provided 16 billion VND to the National Children's Hospital to organize training courses to improve the capacity of pediatric specialized medical examination and treatment for the medical staff in 7 provinces: Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang, Lai Chau, Son La, Cao Bang, Bac Kan and supported the procurement of some equipment models and pre-clinical training materials for the National Children's Hospital to carry out training and technology transfer.

The project will organize short-term training courses directly in the localities and in-depth training at the National Children's Hospital. These courses are designed to equip healthcare professionals with advanced pediatric emergency techniques, neonatal resuscitation techniques in the delivery room, and infection control. The aim is to enhance their skills and knowledge, making them even more valuable in their crucial roles. For the in-depth training courses at the National Children's Hospital, the project will train/transfer techniques to 46 doctors and nurses on pediatric respiratory and nutrition. The project also aims to train/transfer techniques to 363 doctors and nurses in emergency, resuscitation, surgery, orthopedics, anesthesia, and imaging diagnosis...

Speaking at the program, Mr. Doan Viet Nam - BIDV Deputy General Director - said:
