To enhance security for customers when conducting online financial transactions, BIDV announces the implementation of an enhanced authentication method when customers request a new password for BIDV SmartBanking.

After customers request a new password (at the counter or online) and are issued a new password, they need to log in to the BIDV SmartBanking application to activate the service and change the password. At this step, to enhance security, in addition to the usual authentication step, customers will need to perform an additional face authentication step if biometric data has been collected previously, or biometric data collection (*) if it has not been previously collected, to complete the login process with the new password.

Additionally, after successfully changing the password, customers will be restricted to a transaction limit of 10 million VND within 24 hours (from the first login time after the password reset). After this period, customers can conduct transactions using the registered transaction limit package.
