BIDV named Vietnam Domestic FDI Bank of the Year 2023

2023 is the second consecutive year that BIDV has been proudly recognized with this title. The award is evaluated and voted by experts from world leading auditing/consulting firms such as PwC, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Bain and Company, symbolizing the market’s recognition of BIDV's outstanding efforts and achievements regarding its FDI customer services.

Recognizing the increasingly prominent role of foreign investors and FDI enterprises for the development of Vietnam and identifying FDI enterprise clients as a core segment of its client base, in 2016, BIDV established FDI Banking Department to facilitate the effectiveness of serving FDI clients. With an extensive network of 1,100 domestic and overseas branches and transaction offices, along with dedicated FDI Banking Department at BIDV’s HO and key branches, BIDV is always ready to accompany FDI enterprises throughout their investment and business activities in Vietnam, with an emphasis of enhancing value for businesses and the broader community.

As of 31/12/2023, BIDV had established relationships and provided products and services to about 7,500 FDI clients from many countries and territories such as Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, ASEAN, Europe and Northern America. Many of which are major enterprises of the leading fields that have contributed a remarkable push to the growth of Vietnam’s economy. These industries include electronics and mobile devices, textile industry, petrol chemical, heavy industry, automobile, motorbike, construction- real estates- industrial zones, foods and beverages, retail industry, animal feed, hotels and resorts, renewable energy, etc.

Keeping with the motto “Client Oriented – Advance with Technology” at heart, BIDV currently provides a system of modern banking and financial products and services (including flagship products in the market and digitized traditional products), in line with international practices to best meet the diverse needs of clients.

BIDV has continuously researched to develop as well as specially “tailor” optimal products and services to meet clients’ demands and business field specialties. For specific, BIDV supports, facilitates and increases connection speed among suppliers - distributors - consumers with its supply chain financing products, digital technology, virtual accounts and competitive interest rates, which increases the speed of cash flow, creating value and benefits for the whole chain. BIDV’s outstanding products and services are highly appreciated by FDI clients, such as domestic/international payment; foreign currency trading; loan/guarantee; commodity/foreign currency derivatives; project financing; trade finance; ATM and payroll services; BIDV Omni iBank e-banking with multiple languages (including Japanese, Chinese, Korean, English and Vietnamese); virtual account; and ERP connection. Furthermore, BIDV is available to provide packaged retail products for employees of the chain’s participants.
