A: BIDV provides 2 debit
cards, Van Dam and E Trans 365+, which are non-cash payment
instrument used for withdrawing money and performing other
transactions at ATMs Q: What is the procedure for card registration? A: It’s all very simple: customers just need to go to any BIDV branch that provide card service (see list of card issuing branch) and apply for card issuance. Some paperswork are needed as follows: - Account opening application - ATM issuance application - Identity card or passport - Card issuance fee: depends on card category and type

Q: What is best practice upon card losing/ being stolen?
A: Customers need to
memorize the telephone no. of 24/24 bank assistance (04- 2200588).
When above cases happen, card holders need to contact the Bank
immediately and provide information such as name of card holder,
identity card no., address etc so that banking officer will lock the
card or proceeds appropriate action. Q: What is the currency of the card? Can I withdraw foreign currency ( for example USD, EURO..) ?
A: By stipulation of the
State Bank of Vietnam, the unique currency of all ATM of commercial
banks in Vietnam is Vietnamese Dong. Hence, customers cannot
withdraw foreign currency Q: How to load money to ATM card? What is the money transfer fee? Can my parents in other province transfer money to my ATM account? A: First case: To load money to the card, you or your family member need to go to transaction offices and branches of BIDV to transfer money to card –associated account. Whether or not this is charged with fee depend on where you transfer to. - If you or your family member go to transaction offices of the same BIDV branch where you opened the account, then this will be free of charge - If you or your family member transfer money from a transaction offices in a branch other than the branch where you opened the account, but in the same city/ province, then you will be charged about 3,000 VND for one lot - If you or your family member transfer money from a branch in a different city/ province then you will be charged about 0.01% of the total transferred amount - If your or your family member transfer money from other banks (Agribank, Incombank, Vietcombank etc), customers write in detail the account no. where you need to transfer money to and the BIDV branch that opened the account. In this case, transfer fee will depend on stipulation of each bank. B: Second case : You or your family member can use the card that BIDV issue to transfer money to your other accounts and other people’s accounts at BIDV through ATM network. Transfer on ATM is free of charge - On ATM, customers transfer money as per guidance on ATM at Transfer item

located at all provinces, cities and commercial centers, industrial
zones all over the country ( see detail of ATM locations) Q: What time of the day can I withdraw money at ATMs
A: At ATMs, customers can
withdraw money 24/24 per day and 7/7 days per week Q: When I have my card issued by BIDV, do I need to pay any extra annual charge?

dam, customers donot need to pay annual fee other than the issuance

Trans 365+ and Van dam are indefinite Q: What is a subordinate card? For whom can I issue the subordinate card and what is the procedure?
A: Subordinate card is the
card issued by request of the main card holder for themselves or for
others. Only the main card holder can request BIDV to issue
subordinate card for others. Main card holder can issue maximum 2
subordinate cards Q: Is there possibility of ATM overpay/ underpay? A: Each payment process from the time money is taken out of the box to the time it reaches the receiving slot have to pass 4 independent counting process. The counting processes use delicate sensor to check the thickness, dimension, color of each notes. If any note is discovered to be out of the standard , it will be taken to the garbage box and another note is replaced. Hence, if money is double sticked, torn or even if it is genuine money but with printing/ cutting defects, then it will be taken to the garbage box.
ATM has only 2 cases:
Right payment or non payment Q: When I lose my card do I lose my money? A: No. For customer safety, each customer has a PIN which comprises 6 characters known only to customer. Upon first usage, customers need to change PIN at ATM right when they receive the card. Customers use PIN to perform transactions at ATM. During the time of card using, customers need to keep secret this PIN and change PIN as soon as they suspect it is not safe. If customers lose card, they donot lose money unless their PIN is lost also.
NOTES WHEN USING ATM CARD 1. Keep secret the PIN
- PIN is the key for using
ATM card, thus you need to protect it 2. ATM card management - Consider ATM card your own possession
- Donot place the ATM card
near magnetic items like mobile phones, magnet bars etc 3. Some other notes - When you wrongly input the PIN 3 times, your ATM status will be locked. You need to go to the Bank for re-activation procedure - When you cannot remember the PIN, you need to go to the Bank to apply for new card issuance at stipulated charge - Upon card losing or other troubles, please contact BIDV - Please keep transaction bills just in case.
